Birds of a Feather

Uhu are one of the most recognizable fish in near-shore Hawaiian waters. Often seen by divers and snorkelers, their bright, vibrant colors and bird-like mouths have earned them the name Parrotfish.

Manini (Convict Surgeonfish), named for the vertical, black bars along the length of it’s body are often seen following a school of parrotfish as they feed in shallow reef areas.
